Your phone number is your doorway to new business. And a great vanity number is invaluable for anyone in marketing, because it increases the return on every dollar you spend in advertising. If you don't spend a lot of money on advertising, you wouldn't have as much need to get a really great number, but if you're spending $10,000 per month on advertising and the right number can increase your response rate by 10 to 20%, the number would be worth a thousand to a couple thousand dollars per month. I can also spread the cost out over time on a credit card so that it's only a couple hundred dollars a month and you can use the value of the number to pay for the number, kind of like buying real estate with no money down. As long as you're doing a couple thousand dollars a month in advertising, you can't afford not to have a good number because it'll pay for itself, not to mention that it'll be even more valuable in the end, without having to lay out thousands of dollars out of your pocket.
