My new venture will take a bit more work to complete, but I understand the real value in having a number that everyone I meet can remember easily. Just as you'd mentioned other services wanted to charge me to 'rent' their vanity 800 number! I wouldn't even 'own' the 800 number if I eventually needed more complete or competent service!

Like everyone else I heard that vanity 800#s were good for business but when I called Embark, my phone company for a vanity number it was like talking to my kids in the morning to 'get up'...I got no answers. I looked for companies online for 3 or 4 days and stumbled on TollFreeNumbers.com. It took me five minutes to figure out what to do ( I'm slow) and 30 seconds to do it! The fact that you can search for a vanity number on the site is great but the best part is when the ideal number wasn't available your site gave me a bunch of numbers available that very second.
