onebox say we have to show ownership of the tollfree number before they release it.
where can we obtain such verification?

You really must cancel the credit card you gave them. There's no way around that with people this vindictive. That's just my own opinion, but I'm recommending that to anyone trying to leave them.

These people do more than just steal telephone numbers. They are stealing their customers prepaid TollFreeMax.com balances.

One of the beautiful things about TollFreeMax was that you could make a payment, in any amount, at any time to create an account credit against which future invoices could be paid. OneBox now refuses to honor the account credit balances that customers built at TollFreeMax, despite their obligation to do so after acquiring the company.

We have an account credit of $93 that OneBox refuses to acknowledge, have had our account moved to an inferior service (that we fled from more than a year ago), and it seems that OneBox is going to try to keep our toll free number, which we paid a premium to purchase directly from the previous owner for "hosting" with TollFreeMax.

AND, as...

Our payment for next month's service was deducted from our account credit immediately upon issuance of the invoice 2 weeks ago (leaving us with the $93 credit), and OneBox has been threatening us with service deactivation if we don't pay it again!

They, of course, refuse to correct their "errors."... yeah, right, errors... HA! These vile thieves know exactly what they are doing.

Everything stated here on your web site at www.tollfreenumbers.com is One Hundred Percent (100%)true. My Toll Free Number has been hijacked. If we can get my established Toll Free Number transfered painlessly then I am all for it. It the Onebox wants to play games I'll get my Attorney involved in it along with the FCC.

I really appreciate the update Bill and will look forward to your follow up regarding transferring my Toll Free Number to a new and safer haven.

Just fill out the resporg change form at http://www.tollfreenumbers.com/rcf and fax it back to me at 800-FAX-0095 along with a recent print out of a bill from TFmax.

PNG isn’t the same thing. PNG is regular toll free service not an enhanced voicemail service. See: http://www.tollfreenumbers.com/800-numbers/voicemail#post-2789

It’s $49 and we give you proof of ownership, temporary service and then help you transfer it to any company you want. I would look at Virtual PBX or Freedom Voice, Ringcentral, or Kall8 etc. If you don’t like any of these services or anything happens to them you can transfer it away. They can't hold you hostage if you have independent proof of ownership.
