Your website is absolutely amazing. I spent several weeks searching different vanity numbers and finally found one that suits my company wonderfully.
Thanks so much

Not only is the search process made easy on TollFreeNumbers.com, it's the most comprehensive one out there as well, finding numbers that other sites do not even show as available. I could not get the number for my new boxing gym in Atlanta without TollFreeNumbers.com. I want to thank Bill Quimby as he was there to personally take my call; the insight Bill had provided helped me choose the best number for my business.

Hi Bill,
It worked like a champ. The number was working much earlier than the one hour you mentioned it might take to become operative.
Thanks,

Thanks Bill. Everything is working fine. Thanks for making this, setting up a toll free number, almost effortless. I would have done it sooner if I knew how easy it was.

Actually, you can point a toll free to a toll free with the carrier. The problem comes in losing the data between the two toll free numbers. If you are trying to track your calls or terminate at a call center, they won’t have any statistics available. We’ve had a company do this for us before.

No, you can’t point a toll free number DIRECTLY to another toll free number, to be more exact. The only way it’s possible is to either forward a toll free number to a local number that you forward to the second toll free number or to use an enhanced voicemail service which essentially points the toll free number to a voicemail platform which then forwards the calls out to the second toll free number.
Enhanced voicemail services can forward to a toll free number because it’s not actually pointing the toll free number directly to the second toll free number. Either way it has to go through an intermediary step because you can’t point a toll free number directly to another toll free number. The caller id information can be lost in this process because the caller id of the intermediary number may be sent to the secondary TF number.

How about this… If my toll-free # rings to my local #, can I use my local #’s call-forwarding to receive ALL calls (local and toll-free) on another phone (cell, etc.) when I’m away? I’m guessing, yes, but please let me know. Thanks.

Yes, any features that work on the local calls will work on the toll free calls. (ie. call forwarding, voicemail, roll overs, caller id etc)

Is there an existing tariff that prohibits transfer of 800 toll free calls
to another. I understand your logic,
but where is it written?

It’s not a rule, as much as just a fact of life. It’s just not physically possible to do, it’s not that we’re just not allowed to do it.
