The Instant 800 Lookup on the top of the page allows you to check any specific number (with letters or digits). When it says “In use”, that means that number is NOT available because it’s already active for another customer. I’m sure that sounds obvious to most people but you wouldn’t believe the number of people that ask if that means it’s “available.”

Although the SMS lookup does favor and often display sequential numbers, there’s no easy way to look for just sequential numbers. Give us a call tomorrow and we may be able to help you with this personally during the day though. The direct SMS system does have a sequential option. It’s just not part of the web lookup. Not yet at least… Hey Bud!

I want to help you but you should also use the system yourself too. Most of the hard work is done by the computer and it’s more readily available.

And because if someone is insisting that it has to be a specific number, they have to be the one doing it or that insistence creates tension between the and the person theyre pushing to do something that isn’t possible.
