Where do I fit into the toll free world?
This is a good question because I’m not any of the above. Technically I am my own phone company and have access to do things that a phone company does being a responsible organization, (abbreviated RespOrg) which basically means I have access into the national SMS/800 database. But I’m not really like a phone company or an enhanced service provider because I’m not trying to sell you the ongoing toll free service. I just want help you get the best number and then help you transfer it to the best service for your needs, no matter what company that is.
I know the vanity number business better than almost any vanity number owners, but I’m definitely not trying to sell you one of “my” numbers or a part of my number like a vanity number owner. I work as a consultant to help companies get vanity numbers. The numbers I get for clients are always their numbers. I don’t play any games claiming to keep the ownership rights in order to keep control of the numbers. Many people in the vanity number business think I’m stupid for doing this because they think most customers won’t realize the importance of this and will pay much more over time if they keep the customers locked in with the number and fees forever. But I have built my business by putting the customer first and feel this is by far the best approach in the long run.
I’ve created a unique niche in the toll free world, as the original and many would say the only true toll free consultant. I don’t push or sell any single toll free service here because each company has different strengths and I try to help visitors get the best toll free service for their specific needs. I also don’t “sell numbers to anyone. I charge a flat consulting fee to help clients get toll free vanity numbers, but that fee isn’t based on the size of the client or the value of the number. Regular activations are only a one time fee of $49 for any number that says “Currently Available.” Some Disconnected and Premium numbers take more time and more effort and cost a little more, but they’re still one time fees.
I’m unique in the toll free world in that although I’m a resporg and could keep control of the numbers my goal is to help my clients transfer their numbers to whatever carrier or service they want. This allows me to work with all carriers better and maintain my true independence. I do make some recommendations because visitors look to me for solutions and want easy answers. I’ve developed a couple good simple services to send people to depending on their needs and many of them pay me as an agent. But that also gives you an additional level of support in that I can help to resolve issues more readily for those clients too.
Next I’ll go over some basics and background information for toll free numbers, but feel free to jump straight to the Service Selection Guide if you’re just looking for some simple help selecting the right toll free service for your situation.

Once i pay the activation fee i am free to port the number to any provider of my choosing correct? As an example, i will be using this in combination with a new trial of a text campaign and need to give the phone company who will be doing the test and hopefully ultimately the business the number to work on their platform. Please explain how i will facilitate this and that i will not be tied to your system or owe you any cost per call etc ..

Hi Robert,
We are like the GoDaddy of the toll free world. We activate numbers for customers faster than anyone else in the industry, give you better proof of ownership and then help you transfer it to whatever company you want for the ongoing service.
The toll free manual we send with the Toll Free Birth Certificate™ really goes over the transfer process. You’ll get that via email after you activate a number but part of it is online at http://www.TollFreeNumbers.com/manual/ To summarize it, you just fill out a transfer form and send that with the Toll Free Birth Certificate™ back to the company that you are transferring it to. They put it into their system and then send us the request when they’re ready for us to release it. We release them again faster than anyone else in the industry, the same day we get the request.
There really are no other strings to it. Although some of the premium numbers cost a little, the vast majority of the numbers we get for customers are just $49. So we have to do a quantity of them to make this work, but it’s a fun business.
