As you can see, we’ve added a new video to our homepage to try to make it easier for people to understand the basic points of our service. We are thinking about including regular clickable videos in other areas of the site in 2008 too. Click HERE or on the title to leave us anonymous feedback about the video.

I don’t like the video at all -it lags and skips, stalls my browser, and having audio blast unexpectantly from my speakers was not pleasant at all.

I am trying to find a vanity number, not watch videos. Thanks anyway! I’ll try elsewhere.

    ***
It turns out that “Jill” is a comment spammer according to the references to his or her IP address: 74.52.215.194 and what you find when you Google “74.52.215.194″. Their ISP is ThePlanet.com based in Dallas Texas. I’ll leave this up, only because we’ve already responded to it and because she also posted a negative comments which spanned a large post about our business. And this post helps to put his or her criticizm into perspective and show its shallowness. I still think he or she may be a competitor in the shared use business.

If anyone does have problems with the video please say so, but comment spammers, please crawl back into the swamp where you belong and find something better to do with your time.

If you are having technical issues with the video it would be much more helpful if you would describe your browser, OS and bandwidth, because it sounds like one of those is an issue.

In terms of not wanting to watch videos, I can appreciate that except that it’s not an “entertainment” video. It explains the purpose and main points of our site faster and easier than you could read it yourself.

The comment about trying elsewhere at the end makes me think this is either a bogus comment or someone that isn’t serious about finding a vanity number, because that’s exactly what we do as the video says and because there’s really nobody else that does this the way we do it either.

But have a Merry Christmas and thanks for the input anyway.

      -Bill

Love the video Bill! In my search for a 1800 number, your site was the 3rd site I landed on. The video immediately grabbed my attention. I watched the entire presentation. It certainly accomplished it’s purpose…and very well! I don’t remember the last time I stayed on a website this long to check out all the great information you’ve provided. Thanks for the info. I’ll be back again very soon.

As I visited the site today, the new video played it wasn’t easy to find the option to turn it off. I fear that this could be deadly in many office environments where “surfing” is frowned on, and folks are in “Cubes” and don’t want to offend others by having “talking” web sites playing.

Bill, the new video is super, but I fear you are making it harder on yourself, not easier. At least display a silent page first, and give them an option to run silent or hear sounds. Then, keep track of the responses. I suspect that you will get it “silent” much more than 50% of the time. It is just required in most office environments.

The video has pretty good controls on the botom and we made it pause before anything happens and when the text of the benfits comes in too before any sound. But maybe we could put some soft music up front to let it start more gradually and give people a chance to turn it down if it’s not appropriate.

I will also as ispeakvideo.com if there’s a way to make it remember if it’s turned off so you don’t need to do that repeatedly if you go back to the home page, at least in the same visit.

Thanks for the input. If anyone else is in that situation, and the sound is an issue, let us know. We’ve used sound before because I think it’s helpful to both personalize it and explain things more easily on our text and informational heavy site.

            What do YOU think?…

I think it is also nice because it makes it more personal.

Very Nice, and Informative; the smile at the end shows good character. As far as video quality, it is fine. The audio track however, is very ambient. I would use something along the lines of a Neumann TLM-103 mic on a Mackie Onyx-based preamp, record the audio track into a computer, and apply a “compressor” (Cakewalk Sonar has several) and your voice will be very easy to hear. bold, and clear. This is a good option for a low budget but long term investment to record your audio; otherwise you can have it recorded by a 3rd party studio. At the moment, it seems like your using a boom mic in an echo’y room, and I can hear equipment and/or line noise.

I’m very detailed and im only trying to give feedback, not insult, so please don’t misunderstand!!! I am bad at explaining things unless their technical, so there it is. :)

Anyway, I hope all your efforts with tollfreenumbers.com is a major success. They should be, because there is no service like yours. Everything you said in the video is true, true, true.

I noticed the “Jill” comment spam. Typical. As far as the feedback on hardware/software performance with your video, I am running OpenSUSE 10.3 Linux Kernel 2.6.22.13-0-3 X86_64 SMP on some $599 Lenovo from Office Depot. Your site runs perfect. Not a single lag in the video or audio. Maybe it’s my high performance operating system (hehe), but here’s some feedback on a not-so-mainstream(YET!) operating system with your site.

I appreciate the service you provided me and the service you provide to the 1800 community. It is indeed of great value to be able to register a vanity 800# through a 3rd party provider like yourself. Your 800# vanity search engine is excellent and offers superb suggestions based on your original search criteria. Registering the number with you was fast, and transferring it to an 1800 service provider was just as quick and efficient.

I also appreciate the 800 disconnects newsletter, which alerts me when other 1800#'s tailored around my vanity number becomes available.

                    Many thanks,

I'm very happy with your service. Actually, you exceeded my expectations in a lot of ways.

Coming into this, I used to think that all the good 800 numbers are gone for good. You showed me that isn't true. In fact, it's not even close to true... But the reality is that most places you go to try and setup an 800 number force you into a corner and don't show you what all your options really are. You are different, very different.

You offered me a lot of freedom and choice in a world of narrow options and for that I thank you. Frankly, I'm blessed to have found you. You saved me a lot of time and trouble and you helped me find a great 1-800# that is already helping my business grow.

I will recommend you highly to anyone seeking to get started to the toll-free world. :-)

Thanks again for your help in guiding me through the purchase of a toll free number. When I first did my web search for 800 service, I was somewhat overwhelmed by the large number of websites I found. I thought I would have to inevitably waste a large amount of time researching the market to enable myself to make an informed purchase. Fortunately, I discovered your site early in my search, and with all your advice, I was able to streamline my research process. You made it much easier. Thanks again for your help.

Bill at TOLLFREENUMBERS.COM was extremely helpful in getting us set up initially with a numerical toll free number, but also in explaining who a specific descriptive toll free number could be so much more beneficial for our marketing drives. He really knows this business and made acquiring our toll free numbers very painless!

I'm thrilled to say that we acquired 1-800-Time-Fox! I learned it was owned by Global Crossing so we contacted them to use the number. They said it was not in use so we were able to lease it. Two months of searching for the best name and we got it in less than an hour.

We've since changed our incorporated name from Live411 to TimeFox and I've already received plenty of positive feedback. People like that it's easy to say and spell, is edgy and interesting, and conveys how we'll allow people to convert time into money. We're very happy with how things turned out.

Thanks for all your help in this long search of ours. I don't think we could have gotten this without your help.
