Parking or Holding your 800 numbers
We’ve always had people ask us if they could park their numbers with us and just hold them. The problem with that was managing or tracking it. Fortunately one of the benefits of our new shopping cart is a better order management and tracking system that now allows us to facilitate this function. So we will now be charging a small fee to hold a customer’s number for an extended time.

We’ll be holding numbers a whole year after their activation at no cost. After that we’ll charge $18.95 to hold a number for up to a year. It can be paid annually or before the number is released however if a number goes two years past due, it will be disconnected and or made available to other customers.

We would rather release numbers but this gives our customers a way to hold 800 numbers securely when their situation requires it. We believe this will be a valuable service for many customers, especially since most companies have raised their monthly fees and the cheapest monthly fees are now several dollars per month plus usage.

    My number is working so thank you very much. One other quick question. I am so busy rigfht now that I don’t know where I would get the time to do anything about moving the number over to my provider. How long do I have in which to just do nothing?

      We give you free temporary service for the first 30 days or 100 minutes of use. If that runs out it’s still your number and it’s just waiting for you to transfer I to another company. We’ll hold it for a year. After that you would have to pay $18.95/yr for us to hold it for you.

        We don’t do parking for outside numbers

        The parking service isn’t for numbers that we didn’t get. It’s offered as a convenience to our customers and is only available for numbers which we activated. We don’t transfer numbers over from other carriers just to hold them, since that’s essentially providing a type of ongoing service. Anyway, this parking is a unique benefit that we offer to customers that activated their number with us.

        Most customers don’t need it but we don’t want to get rid of numbers on our customers either. This gives us a systematic way remind people and allow them to leave them yet cover the cost of holding them.

          If I still have several toll free numbers that I have purchased from you, and I have not yet transferred them over to another carrier, they aren’t considered a ‘disconnected’ number where I would be in jeopardy of loosing the number, are they???

            Hi Jay,

            We’ll hold them for a year for free. After a year we charge $18.95 per year to hold them. If we don’t hear from someone for the free year and two years of unpaid parking, or three years all together, we disconnect or reissue them.

I am usually very apprehensive about transacting business on the internet but in this case, highly recommend Bill Quimby's toll-free number service. I first put a temporary hold on the number and was reminded of the hold date which I appreciated very much. Once I found the right number, I certainly did not want to lose it.
