I also really appreciated your recommendations about which long distance and voice mail services to use. There are so many to choose from! My number one concern is not necessarily the price but the service and being able to switch whenever I want to if needed. What would be the point of getting a toll free number if you could not use the way you want to?

SMSGOV.com is using Wikipedia to try and lend credibility to their pretend organization. It is NOT affiliated with any government organization nor is it related to the SMS/800 database. It’s articles are completely made up with just enough truth to sound good. It hides it’s identity claiming to be in the Netherlands to avoid prosecution for what it’s doing. The only phone numbers on the website are 800-X00-0000 for their phone and fax. I’ve written about most of that before, but now they are using Wikipedia to give their fake organization credibility.

Smsgov.com claims to be the home of the Tollfree Advisory Committee (TAC). There simply is no “Toll Free Advisory Committee”. There never has been. It’s made up out of thin air. Do a Google search on that name in quotes and you’ll find only ONE mention of it anywhere on the entire worldwide web. Not one blog post or mention of it anywhere by any member of this organization because there are none!
