What numbers do we find better and why?
People always ask, Why we find so much better numbers than anyone else? And why when they go to their phone company, they are told the numbers we showed on our website weren’t available? They often think there’s something devious going on, but there really isn’t. We just do a better job at that, because that’s our job and that’s really NOT their job. It’s just something they need to do in order to do their job.
There are four different types of toll free numbers that we find better than any other phone company for four different reasons. But if I had to sum it all up I would sum it up with three words. We try harder. That may be an over simplification but isn’t that really the main reason why most people succeed?
The Four types of toll free numbers we find that regular phone companies don’t
Disconnected Numbers - This is probably the easiest to explain and see. We have a crystal ball that looks four months into the future to see what numbers are in the aging process before getting returned to the available pool. We’re also the only company that allows customers to backorder these disconnected numbers, essentially asking us to try to get them for you, in the first couple seconds when they come out of the aging process. We can only take one request per toll free number on a first come first served basis though so if you find a good number in disconnect don’t wait too long to backorder it.
Premium Numbers – These are “good” numeric numbers, repetitive numbers, patterns and hundred or thousand enders. You find them with the Instant 800 Lookup usually by doing queries with 3 or 4 or more *s in it. These are harder numbers to get and cost a little more, from $99 for a 1 star numbers up to $999 for a 4 star numbers. We get these through database work and by simply having 13 years of contacts and connections and working deals. Regular phone comanies usually hold these premium numbers exclusively for their biggest best premium customers.
Random ‘800’ Numbers – Regular phone companies just don’t have many ‘800’ numbers any more because there aren’t any in the spare or available pool at all. When 800 numbers are disconnected and come out of the aging period they are gone within a couple seconds. We work hard to get a couple random ‘800’ numbers at midnight when they come out so we have some available for customers. That’s why we usually have ‘800’ numbers available for just $49, yet most other phone companies say there just aren’t any left.
Regular Available Numbers – Not only do we give the power of the national database directly to each visitor, but our lookup actually does hundreds of queries and calculations for ever submission, to help users to not only check the number they submitted but to help find possible alternatives too. Regular phone companies on the other han get in the habit of saing NO, sometimes without an actual SMS query being done. I think this is due to the number of people between the customer and the database. You’d be amazed at how many times people go back to their phone company and ask them for a number that really is available and their company tells them it’s not available even when we know it is.
It’s also worth pointing out that we provide a lot more information than any other phone company, both in terms of teaching about toll free service on our website, but also regarding every toll free number too. We show you dates and phone company descriptions for most numbers that nobody else anywhere provides. That’s probably a good sign right there that we’re obviously doing more and trying harder than anyone else.
The Four reasons WHY we find better 800 numbers
1. Phone companies are anything but efficient – In many ways most big phone companies make it easy to stand out and look good. It’s kind of like competing against motor vehicle offices that used to have a monopoly. It’s easy to see this if you just ask them how long it takes them to set up a new toll free number. They will probably tell you it takes several days (to do what we do often in about 30 seconds).
2. We’re more creative – I think there’s something about working in a cubicle for too long that seems to drain creativity, just like working for a big company does. But we eat creativity for breakfast. We preach creativity and have even taught our computer to be creative too. We know our customers come in stuck on one certain number that isn’t possible and we have to help them to open their eyes to see and accept other reasonable alternatives. We also come into this with a marketing background which no regular phone company even understands.
3. Our business model – Our business model is completely different than any other phone company. We only make money from the “getting” part, not the “using”. Regular phone companies only make their money from the “using” not the getting, so they can’t spend the amount of time, money and resources that we do. It costs us over $30,000 per month just to maintain the databases and website. Nobody else puts even a tiny fraction of the effort not to mention the couple million dollars and years it’s taken to get into the “getting” part the way we do because that’s not their business.
4. Specialization – I think people sometimes get blinded by the all-on-one-bill commercials and forget why specialization and freedom of choice works to keep companies competitive. Another post explained it great with an analogy of getting your meat from Walmart’s meat department versus a Butcher shop. It’s amazing how much more information and real assistance you can get from knowledgeable people in a smaller organization that specializes in what you’re looking for.
What numbers can you find on other websites but not on ours?
Toll Free Entrapment - Many toll free websites automatically reserve numbers they find available. This shouldn’t be allowed but mot of the smaller less reputable companies do this in order to trap people into getting the number from them. The ONLY two websites that you can count on being safe are the AT&T 800 lookup and ours. Searching for or checking an 800 number anywhere else is definitely dangerous. Toll free entrapment sites don’t give up numbers but if ou’re patient we enjoy grabbing numbers back from these lowlifes when the reservations expire.
800 number Squatter sites - Many vanity number sites are essentially “800 number squatters“. I use that term because like domain name squatters they go grab lots of good names or in this case numbers that they think people will want and hold onto them hoping to sell them for big bucks or worse yet, to rent a part of it to customers charging a huge monthly fee that keeps escalating, forever. There are regulations against hoarding and brokering 800 numbers but that doesn’t stop these small businesses or individuals from doing it through creative loop holes.
We can’t get you numbers that are reserved on another site or that are being held by squatters because no other company can get those for you. But other than that, nobody can hold a candle to our look up tools or our system. That’s because helping you get you the best possible vanity 800 number for your business, IS our only business.
This post started from a question someone asked and I started writing this out. It seemed like overkill but two hours later I had a 3 page answer to a one sentence question. But this will make it easier to answer for the next visitor that asks this as well as anyone on our website wondering it too. We do try harder. We’ve built a whole system and our business to be faster, more efficient, more thorough, and more creative at getting the best toll free numbers for you! We can’t make the owner of the number you have your heart set on give it up, but we can help you find good alternatives and numbers for virtually any project. Use our tools, go through our website and let us help you get the best possible number for your business today.
