Are you Waiting for the Perfect Number?
Waiting for the perfect number is kind of like waiting for the perfect guy or girl to come along. It’s good to have high aspirations, but at some point reality also has to enter into it at some point too. I always tell people it’s good to know what you want but you also have to take what you can get too. And unlike girls, you can start with one and then add another if a better one comes along without getting rid of the 1st one.
By the way, we also have the perfect tool for “waiting,” our 800 Watch. When you use our Keyword Search the computer will do the research and send you a list usually with hundreds of possibilities. It’ll save you hours of searching one at a time, but it’s only showing you the numbers Available or in Disconnect in one cross section of time.
It’s hard for people to be persistent and keep coming back continuously, because we are all very busy and get distracted. But computers don’t get distracted so our computer will redo your research as soon as the new database is uploaded each month. If you don’t want that you can uncheck the box by your email address on the Advanced Keyword Lookup or just ask us to stop. We’ll keep searching for your specific terms every month so you can be in the right place when something good does get disconnected. There are more strategies to help you find other possibilities in the Lookup Section of our site.
You Can Use Multiple Numbers
It’s actually smart and very helpful to have more than one toll free number. You can use one for your online marketing and a different one for your offline promotions, or one for that big mailer or billboard advertising that you spent so much money on. Even if they all go to the same place, you can still tell by the phone bill how many came from each source. Some large advertisers take it even further and wind up getting different numbers for every different advertising venue or station. This doesn’t even cost you any more because you basically pay per minute and it doesn’t matter whether they all come in on one number or a dozen different numbers, you’ll still have the same number of minutes.
You can also add the second number and not phase out the first number until that advertising is gone or those business cards and labels are used up. You can tell very easily if the old number is still being used and by who, from the phone bill. You can even set up a voicemail giving out the new number and point the old number to that if you want. Whatever you want to do with the first number, having more than one number or adding another number is easy.
Another benefit of using multiple numbers is that you can separate the calls and route them differently now or even down the road if necessary. When you start a new project it’s always a good idea to find a new number for that because that way you can not only track your results, but you can route the calls directly to that department, even if you don’t have a department or person dedicated to that item
So we’ll help you keep looking for that perfect number but don’t forget to be creative and don’t think you can’t anything just because you can’t get the perfect number (yet).
