You need to try more things than just your company name
It’s nice if your perfect name happens to be available, but that almost never happens. If it was that easy you wouldn’t really need us. (actually we still activate 800 numbers faster than anyone else and give you better independent proof of ownership) But anyway, very few businesses are able to get their exact business name. That doesn’t mean they can’t find a good number for their business though. They just have to be a little more creative and look for less obvious things. Here’s a great list of things to look for.
The best thing to match is your Message
Most people usually start with their company name, which is understandable. And like I said, it’s nice if you can get that but there is something even better that you should try to match, and that’s your MESSAGE. Your message is the one sentence or phrase you want the advertiser to walk away from your advertising with. It’s your value proposition, or your strongest selling point and may be the theme of your advertising or your slogan. What is it that really makes you stand out or why should the customer chose you instead of anyone else that does what you do? Remember, if you don’t know what your message is, how is your customer going to know?!
The bottom line is that we can’t usually just look at your name and tell you what the best phone number is. You have to try a lot more different things, and you really know your market and your message, your audience and your advertising better than we do. You can start with your name, but you’ll probably have to try a lot more creative less obvious things to figure out what the best possible number really is.
