How To Pick a Kickass Toll Free Number

I’ve taken the title to this post and these points from a post that I liked on BruceClay.com called How To Pick A Kickass Domain Name by Lisa Barone. It obviously talks about domain names, but the points and really the whole article relate to equally to toll free numbers so I thought I’d recap the points.

A bad [toll free number] can hurt your business.
Decide What You’re About.
Know Who You Are, Then Be Broad.
Use Keywords When Possible.
Be Memorable.
Keep It Simple.
Think Long-term.
Consider How It Looks.
Don’t Copy Someone Else.

The service is great. Simple, efficient, well-supported, an easy way for us to pick an appropriate toll-free number for our new Infiniti dealership.

I am writing you today to thank you for your services. We have found that your 800 services are just right for our growing company. With the addition of the 800 number we have seen a drastic increase in phone calls to www.floormall.com. I would

like to take this moment to thank you and your company.

Bill Quimby and his organization made our acquisition of a toll free number very easy indeed. I would have no hesitation reccomending his company to anyone looking to set up a toll free number.

I thought it was too good to be true...but your quick response and set up got my new business up and going. As a "start up operation", getting all of the business elements to mesh at one time can be a real challenge. By reserving and activating my "vanity 877 number", I could get my advertising, packaging, business cards, and promotional graphics ordered and underway. That's critical and a big step forward. I only ran into a slight glitch in transferring the 800 service to my phone company; I don't think they understood your business. But a quick scan of your websites trouble shooting guide answered any questions they had and we're up and running. Thanks again and we'll call on you soon, when we expand!

I would like you to know that what you are doing is pretty rare. I think you have found a great niche and your competitors aren't on the same level as you are. I have spent at least 80 hours learning and trying to educate myself about 800 numbers. So I have been to a lot of sites. There is nobody else doing half of what you're doing here.
