How about a Partial Vanity Number?

Partial Vanity numbers have extra numeric digitsIf you can’t get your first choice in vanity numbers and don’t want to use other words you may have to go with a ‘Partial’ Vanity Number, meaning it has a word or phrase but it also has some extra digits. An example of this you see often is Geico’s 1-800-947-AUTO. This isn’t as memorable as Progressive’s 1-800 PROGRESSIVE and I think it’s pretty obvious that 1-800 GO-GEICO would be much more memorable. But assuming your first choice isn’t available, it can often be an alternative.

If your word is four or five digits, this is easy and you can put the digits before or after your word. If your name or term is longer you can’t put the digits after the word because anything beyond 7 digits is ignored. But you can put digits before your term for the same reason, because at after 7 digits is basically ignored.

You can search for Partial Vanity Numbers by using a in astrix as a wildcard in a search. So a search for two digits in front of ‘WORDS’ like this **WORDS or after the word like this, WORDS**. Shorter words also tend to give you more options in the third box of the Toll Free Search Result page and the Keyword Lookup because when you put the extra digits at the back of the number, it allows them to start more words or phrases.

To summarize, partial vanity numbers aren’t as valuable or as competitive as full or pure vanity numbers with no extra digits. But they are often easier to get since there are more possible numbers to chose from.
