Your Address not Ours
When customers fill out the transfer forms for some companies they mistakenly put our information on the form instead of theirs. YOUR name and address goes on the Resporg Change Form not ours. One or two companies have a spot for the releasing company’s address but most of the time when people think it’s asking for ours, it’s actually asking for YOUR address.
The company you’re transferring the number to don’t have to mail us anything. Many large phone companies really don’t have a single address to put down, they have dozens of different locations. If they needed it, how would you or the company you’re transferring the number to know what the proper address is for AT&T?
We also need your address to confirm that we’re releasing the toll free number to the right party. We don’t need our information. We know that, and if you put our information in for the customer, we can’t release the number. We will try to contact you to verify if you’re the one making the transfer request, instead of just rejecting it like every other company would do.
The safest thing to do is just put YOUR address down for ANY address field on the form. The only thing you might need from us is our Resporg ID, which is QZA01. Any phone company or Resporg (Responsible Organization) can look up any information they need from that. They fax us the forms so if you want to put something else down, go ahead and list our fax number 800-FAX-0095.
