New phone company descriptions
We’ve just added all our own new descriptions for most of the phone companies in the Instant 800 Lookup. These descriptions don’t tell you the specific phone company but they certainly help to give you more perspective and help to understand the situation. Most of them link to the Consulting Section which explains how to dig deeper and get the phone company and then hopefully the end user and even some advice on negotiating with them. We’re working hard to get you the most helpful information possible!
An earlier version of the lookup used to provide the phone company for all toll free numbers. Unfortunately, lawyers for the SMS made us remove the phone company names and contact information. But you can’t keep a good service down so we set up a secure version that our customers could access to get the resporg contact information. That worked fine until we changed our website and then reworked the Lookup system. Now that we’ve done that we‘ll set up a new secure version again. But in the mean time we have worked hard to develop some basic descriptions which we can show on the public version since it doesn’t include or use any of the SMS information.
Our new descriptions are based on my own research and the past dozen years of experience. Even if it’s not giving out the name and phone number to the public, it does help to give some perspective and background. I will continue to add to these descriptions and make them as helpful as possible over time, but please remember that these are merely my own opinion and
