Bad advice is free

Why pay an expert for advice when you can get bad advice for free in so many places?

You can go to someone that sells insurance for a single company and tells you what service to use based on the company he works for or to commissions they pay.  Or you can get the top fee only financial planner in the entire industry who charges you a whole $49, gives you better documentation, faster service and then helps you get the best possible service for the on going use which is by far your biggest expense. 

You get what you pay for.  You can ask the cashier at the auto parts store for advice on repairing your car or you can ask the owner of the shop that specializes in your car.  The cashier isn’t necesarily wrong or stupid.  They just don’t get much training on actual repairs and they may misunderstand what the problem is.  They also usually think that it’s impossible if they can’t find the answer in their computer.  The master mechanic who specializes in your car may not work for a big company but he knows how to make your car purr.
