What you do with a number after you get it is your business. As long as you’re not getting numbers for the purpose of reselling them, you are fine with us.
We’re not promoting the sale of numbers or setting people up as little resellers. But I don’t think anyone would seriously expect you to give up something unless it was a benefit to you.

Thanks for the significant amount of useful information on your site, it’s very helpful! I have a quick question: our company is purchasing some of the assets of a competitor and one of these assets is their toll-free 1-866 vanity number. How is such a transfer accomplished- do we just need the seller to contact his provider and notify them than he would like to transfer # to us (right now, no plans to switch from his current provider)? If so, how long should we expect such a transfer to take?
