Attn nay sayers: We’re not as stupid as you think.

I almost can’t believe how stupid some people can be. Here are the last three ‘comments’ left on the site, all by the same person and IP address pretending to be multiple people. Somebody has way too much time on their hands, and this also really goes to prove that you just can’t believe anonymous comments.
Does anyone know why someone (staying at a Fairfield Inn) would come to a website and take the time to enter feedback repeatedly under different names just to complain about something as unimportant to the point and purpose of the site as the video quality. They didn’t have any website listed so it wasn’t to gain a link. I guess I can see doing it once to test what they need to do to add our site to their spam bot. But why go to the trouble of changing the clock on your computer or coming back an hour later just to use a different name and try to make it sound like you’re agreeing with yourself?
I guess the bottom line is that these comments only prove that you can’t take a lot of the negative crap that people leave anonymously serious. Fortunately we have a lot more direct contact with visitors than most businesses and it’s also a small niche industry. So we actually know or talk to many of the commenters even if we don’t include their actual
name.
PS. I allow anyone to post because I watch it, oh and because the spam filter Akismet blocks an amazing percentage of the spam, like 99.7 % without blocking anything real that I’ve seen out of almost a thousand that it’s blocked. I highly recommend it!
The same type of thing happened the other day with commets left by IP address: 74.52.215.194, except that I rescued those comments from the spam because they looked legit. It’s funny because akismet knew they were spam and I rescued it because I thought it was wrong but wouldn’t you know it turned out to be correct. Go figure.
