If you think you might be able get a disconnected 800 number after it comes out on your own by just waiting, think again. We have several people and spend about thousands of dollars per month on access and programs and only get around 50% or so of the backorders because the competition is just tough, it’s HUGE.
The deck is stacked against you
The vanity number sharks and squatters do this for a living and they are very good at both figuring out what numbers to go after and at getting them. If you’re familiar with domain names you have just as much chance of getting a good one word .com domain name after it’s disconnected yourself for $10 as you do of getting a good 800 vanity number.
There haven’t been any ‘800’ numbers in the spare or Available pool during the day for over a year. The few that come out each night are taken within seconds, even totally random numbers that don’t spell anything at all. Don’t expect them to miss anything you can’t afford to lose. And after it’s gone, we’ll show you from the resporg history, how many seconds it took them to get it.
This is why we go the extra mile and try to get good “800″ numbers from the carrier right before they come out of the disconnect period for you. The competition is just too high.
If you don’t like any of the numbers that are available, that means they haven’t missed any good ones so far, so why would you expect them to miss the one you want?
