Timing is everything and good numbers are only in disconnect for 4 months so you’re always looking at a cross section of the numbers currently available. The best way to find the really best numbers is to check back monthly. But we are all busy and it’s hard to take the time to search every month for toll free numbers. Even being in the toll free business it’s hard for me to be that methodical. So I’ve put together a program that will do an even more thorough search for your word or phrase every month and email you the results. It does a more thorough search than you can do from the web page because the results are emailed and therefore can be longer.

This monthly service will remember your favorite numbers and show you a history of their status as well as key words and phrases which it will search for, showing you any matching numbers that are going into disconnect so you can be the first to request them. It also has an article and any toll free news or updates each month. If you’d like to see how valuable this can be, just do a few searches again with our lookup tool and notice how many numbers are only active since last year. You probably would have had a shot at them if you had been monitoring that phrase last year. This system will patiently wait and help you find the best number for your business over time with little or no effort on your part, by just opening an email each month.

    As I'm sure others new to obtaining a toll-free number have discovered, trying to learn about the various services, plans, and providers can be overwhelming. There are pitfalls: The fine print of some contracts indicates that the 800-number you obtain through them "belongs" to--or is leased by--the service provider, and if you wish to change providers, you will have to change numbers as well. Alternatively, the service provider
    can delay your request to transfer, creating another headache. Another problem not clearly disclosed by provider sites is the higher per-minute charges for instate calls in based on intrastate tariffs in some states, in my case over .07 per minute.

    If you use an enhanced voicemail service or any system for all your calls that also detects fax tones, but you don't need the fax detection you should consider turning that feature off, if possible. Background noise or things can sometimes make the fax dection system think a regular voice call is a fax call. It is pain to the caller the first time, but if they hang up and call bck again, and the same background voice triggers the fax tones again, they're probably going to give up and may never call you.


    If you need the fax detection, that's fine. But many people have seperate fax lines so they really don't need the detection system which could malfunction. This is just a very small tip, but it might be helpful!
