Backorders
If you do a search for a number and it shows that it was recently disconnected or changed, you can request to back order this number from us and we well attempt to get it for you the moment it comes out. We’ll confirm that it’s still available and that no one else has already backordered it. You can picture this disconnect period as a four month conveyor belt that takes a number from active status and drops it into the spare pool in the end. So the number will become available sometime within the next couple months.I’ve spent the past 10 years not only getting the best numbers for clients but refining the best possible technology to allow the end user even better access into the national database than the major phone companies have. I’ve automated the system to do it faster and cheaper than any other phone company that only does this once in a while ever could. We are the only independent number acquisition service that gives the customer the end user rights and doesn’t lock you into their more expensive phone service. Other companies in the vanity number business go after large quantities of numbers for themselves which they then hold onto (hoard?) and then “rent” out to customers that ask for them. They like to retain the actual ownership of the number because it’s a way to lock you in so you can never transfer or even totally control your number. We are the only service in the vanity number business which only goes after numbers at the request of and for actual end users and gives them the full end user rights. We make a lot less per number than anyone else in the vanity number business that wants to rent out numbers based on their value for as much as they think they can get for it. But we feel this is the only fair way to do do this.
