I can honestly say TollFreeNumbers.com is, by far, the best, most complete and easiest-to-use toll-free related web site I found.

Just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate all your hard work and great customer service.
The information and tips on your site are priceless and I love the the Vanity Number Lookup tool. But your suggestion was still the perfect number for my site. I will definitely be back and highly recommend you to anyone even thinking of getting a toll free number.

As I scrolled down the list of available vanity numbers, I couldn't believe my eyes... 888-SCANVAN was available! The phone companies had lied to me.
I asked Bill if it was a mistake and he told me that if it was on his list of available numbers, the number was available. He assured me that if I paid him $49.95, the number would be mine, and if it was somehow not available, there would be no charge. So, I went back to the site and paid the $49.95 Bill was asking for his service.
Just a few minutes later, I received another e-mail from Bill, offering me congratulations on being the owner of 888-SCANVAN, and to try the number out, as the forwarding number was already in effect. I dialed the number and my phone began ringing. I couldn't believe my good luck. In just a few minutes, Bill had waved his magic wand, and all my vanity phone number problems had vanished.
I highly recommend doing business with Bill. He does exactly what he promises.

I wanted to say thank you for all of the hard work you and your staff put into getting my number working. I am dealing with Vocalocity and have had such a terrible experience with their lack of customer service - it was so refreshing to see that a company like yours. You actually took pride in your work and were dedicated to the lost art of customer service.
I really valued being able to pick up the phone and talk to someone who is willing to help - and to my surprise, I actually got to speak to YOU! Yes, the owner, a live human being!!!
Thank you Very Much.

Whether a business is conducted over the Internet or has a more traditional, physical presence, showing genuine interest and concern to the customers needs will always be a key element in the continued successful of a strong company. Without a doubt Rita Thorn exudes these attribute in her caring, customer friendly, helpful style and focus. Kudos to you for hiring the right person and the best to you all going forward.

Is there any way to purchase the 800 number and release it immediately, why all the transfer of paperwork, birth certificates, etc? I don’t want to have to wait 2 – 3 just to shuffle paper around.
Thanks!

Tom,
First of all, most regular activations are working in about 30 seconds. It doesn’t get any faster or easier than that, anywhere. Second of all, we release numbers immediately or the same day we get the request faster than anyone else. Third, it wouldn’t do you any good if we released it to another company if they don’t have it programmed which they wouldn’t, it’s not going to work anyway.
We’re happy to release numbers asap. See: http://www.TollFreeNumbers.com/push but unfortuately it doesn’t work the way you’re hoping it could. Regular phone companies just aren’t set up to do activations quickly or effeciently. They don’t work that way or do what we do. But that’s OK, because if you need it quickly you have us. If there was a way to simplify it, believe me, we certainly would have already done it. The bottom line is that there is no other way to be guaranteed to be able to take a number away unless you can prove that you had it active before you transferred it to them. We’ll make it as quick and easy as possible, and it’s really not two weeks of doing paperwork.
It’s just getting, filling out one simple form and returning one form to the new company. It’s not like a tax form or medical history form either, just your name and address, toll free number, where you want it to ring to and the old phone company. It’s really not something to lose sleep over. And the toll free number is already ringing if you’re in the US, so it’s usually not holding very much up. I hope that helps to put it into perspective better.

Good Morning! I have picked out four numbers that will work just fine (Thank You!)and would like to acquire them from you, but I haven’t decided on a host for them as yet. Must I take possession of them when purchased or can I leave them parked in your “garage” for a short time period? If so, would there be a reasonable charge? I don’t want to loose them.
Thanx!

I found a number I’d like to get. I went to fill out the form online but I am still waiting for my local number. Is there a way to reserve this number until I get my local number?
Thank You-

Josh,
You can activate it and point it to your cell phone or any number you want (even a friends number if you want) and then change it to that new number after it’s installed. You can even point the toll free number to that new line if you know what number it’s going to be. It’ll give out the message you get when you dial the uninstalled number but then as soon as the new line is working you can start using the toll free number.

I’m impressed after reveiwing your web site by your honesty. I have an 800 number already that I’ve owned for about 15 years (no PIN). Now I want to move it from the 800 pound gorilla phone company to a more responsive company. I dont use the number for many minutes per month but I do want really good quality (fiber vs voip). I’ve been searching for days on how to select a realiable company that’s not just a web site with one guy in India. All the review sites I could find appear to be getting referral dollars for linking seekers to the 800 carrier web sites. Where’s the truth?

There are no fiber vs voip lines. You may have been reading tollfreenumber.org’s junk. See http://www.tollfreenumbers.com/providers/tollfreenumber-org/tollfreenumberorg-not-fiber-optic.html
There are no “review” sites. I think you are probably referring to http://www.tollfreereviews.com/ which is set up and owned by tollfreenumber.org. That’s the only “review” site I really know of.
We’re working on a providers directory but we had to scrap the jreviews system we were trying to use and are building our own database system for that. It’ll be more of a researched system to show the depth of companies because you can’t tell which ones are real and which ones are just websites selling things from their website. tollfreenumber.org is an example of a fake phone company. They don’t provide any toll free service at all, they are essentially just an affiliate site selling the services of other phone companies.
