Finding vanity 800 Numbers is So Easy,
even my dog can do it!
800 Numbers really are very easy to set up. I was going to use Cavemen but they still haven’t gotten over the Geico commercials. So our dog Daisy volunteered to try it. Yeah I had to loan her my credit card but she did the rest. Read the full article to see HOW Daisy did it. (Geico never showed how the cavemen actually did it.)
Here’s how Daisy did it!

The first thing is to try some terms in the Toll Free Search Engine or the Keyword Lookup. It’s kind of fun, in a creative word search kind of way.
The first thing she tried was her name Daisy. Your first choice doesn’t usually work. But we DOGZ RULE after a few minutes. The easiest way is to keep looking until you find something that says “Currently Available.” It may take some time especially if you only use generic obvious terms for your industry, but if you’re creative and work at it you’ll find some. Here’s more on the types of things to look for when you’re searching for a vanity 800 number.

When you find a number that says Currently Available in the LIVE Toll Free Number Search Results box, it gives you the option for Immediate Activation. You can just click the link to Activate it.

Then on the next page you just fill in the number you want the calls to be forwarded to. Just put in your local number and click buy. The page also explains the basics, that it’s a one time charge of $49.95, and we give you proof of ownership, free temporary service for the first 30 days and help you transfer it to any company you want for the ongoing service.

The rest is pretty basic, just your name and company name, your billing address, and email address. If you want to put it in a different name and address than your credit card, put that in the shipping address. Other than that, it’s a piece of cake.

It’s a secure connection so can be confident entering your credit card information. And even more than that, you can reach a live person that’s not in a call center or some foreign country and can always help you. We won’t let you pay for the wrong thing or something that we can’t provide.

Even if you’ve never ordered anything online before you can probably figure this part out. Thinking a dog can do it is obviously funny but the point is that this really is so simple anyone can set up a toll free number.

After this we’ll set up the toll free number so it’s ringing to your local (US) number and send you your toll free manual that explains the transfer process and includes your Toll Free Birth Certificate™
You can search for numbers and activate them right online 24 hours a day. I always say the computer is better at that than human beings, but it’s definitely important to know that there are real people here to help make sure you get what you wanted. It’s nice to know that someone has your back and that you can’t mess anything up so much that we can’t help you fix it. And we do want to help you. We had to help Daisy a little. But the point is that anyone really can get a toll free number. And if we can help her get a toll free number we can definitely help you too!

How much is the monthly service charge following the initial fee of $49? And, can I change the number to another number later on?

Leisha,
There’s no other fee or charge from us after the one time fee. Whatever company you select for the ongoing service will charge you a couple bucks per month and a couple cents per minute for the incoming calls. But you can pick that and if you want or need to you can change again to another carrier. That’s what keeps them honest. Here’s a page that explains the fees in more detail: http://www.TollFreeNumbers.com/fee
Your second question sounds like you’re just asking to change the ring to number. Yes, you can change the ring to number any time by contacting whatever company is providing the service. We provide it in the beginning for the first 100 minutes or 30 days. But after that you would contact whatever company you selected for the service. Changes for the ring to number can take a couple hours but are pretty simple.
I hope that helps. Let me know if you have any other questions or need help with anything else.

Rick,
There are 6.35 million available numbers so we really can’t make a list of them and it really wouldn’t be all that valuable. see http://www.TollFreeNumbers.com/list
But we do have a new directory with lists that does do a little of what you’re looking for. Take a look at http://www.TollFreeNumbers.com/877/906_0xxx.html (which had about 754 out of 1000 possible numbers available) and then go through the different exchanges and pages. You can see the list of available numbers in each exchange in that new directory. This is brand new, just being announced today.
I don’t know how much more helpful that will be than the look up tool, but that’s the closest to what you’re asking for you can get and it is kind of cool, at least to a phone number geek like myself. So I hope that helps. Let me know if you have any questions or need help with anything else.
