The superbowl commercials this year had 8 toll free numbers. Only three didn’t have vanity numbers. I guess we can let TheAntiDrug off the hook, except that their website has a partial vanity number, 800-662-HELP. I’ll have to try to find them a better number for their future tv ads.

I also admit that some of the car commercials had them in such tiny print that they were barely visible. And most superbowl commercials are brand advertising, not direct response.

But the biggest question I had at the end was what was SalesGenie thinking? They couldn’t even get an ‘800’ number?? Their cartoons may have been cute, but they are clearly missing the boat. I guess just because you have a couple million dollars to blow on your advertising doesn’t mean you can’t make a mistake.
