Backorder your # before someone else does

We can only accept one backorder per number and you can only place the backorder on the secure website. Emailing us about your interest doesn’t start t backorder process, or lock in your date. You can backorder multiple numbers with a single backorder request. So if you want an 800 # ending in “word” for example, if we find multiple possibilities, you can backorder them all. We’ll do the research to get the dates and you’ll get multiple chances. As soon as we get one, you can cancel the other backorders, but please don’t forget to cancel them.

We also never accept backorders over the phone or cancel them over the phone. You vto cancel backorders via email and we will acknowledge your cancellation via email as well. That way we’ve got a paper trail and documented it in case there’s any question.

Question – how long would it take to get one of the backordered numbers?

    Thanks!

How long it takes varies from number to number based on when it was disconnected. The first thing we do after you backorder a number is figure out the exact date. Well OK, we confirm it first and then we do the research. You can cancel it any time up until it comes out of disconnect.

Disconnected numbers come out within the next few months. It is four months after the number was disconnected. When you use the Keyword Search that generates the email reports from 800 Watch, the disconnected numbers are color coded. The red ones are New and in the first month of Disconnect so they don’t come out for about three months. The ones in gray are in the last 30 days and black is in between.

What if a toll free number is listed as “available in a few days” – are those numbers guaranteed if we backorder? My client has a limited budget and cannot afford to backorder multiple numbers simultaneously. We will need to assign this toll free number to media within one week. Also are the “available” numbers ($49) guaranteed? Please advise.

No, the disconnected numbers aren’t guaranteed whether they come out in 3 days or 3 months. But we do guarantee not to charge him or her unless we actually get the number. So they don’t need of pay the backorder fee more than once.

Ones that say Currently Available are only $49 and again if there is any mistake and we can’t get you the number we certainly don’t keep anyone’s money!

That is the headline that I'd write for Bill and Rita. You see, I got a great tollfree number from them and it was time to implement it, I put down the wrong number. If it weren't for their patience and help it would have been a real problem.

We went back and forth a couple of times with a virtual call forwarding service I had joined. While the new tollfree number is being ported (transferred to be a direct number rather than ringing forward) the service assigned me a temporary number so the tollfree number could forward calls to me. Everything seemed okay. However, after a couple of days I tested the service's forwarding number. It was working. The new service was working. But the tollfree number was ringing into an intercept that said the number was "no longer in service".

That started our journey: I shot off an email to Rita... she replied she would have it working in a couple of hours... I tried the next day but it still wasn't working. I shot off an email to Bill. He and Rita both wrote back and said it was working from New York and New Jersey. I tried the tollfree number from a New York phone but it still wasn't working... so I wrote to them saying, "I keep dialing 888-807 and the rest of the number.

Shortly thereafter I got an email reply from Rita suggesting that the number I purchased was 888-708 not 888-807.

Hmmmmm, I sheepishly dialed the correct number and through some miracle it worked :-/

So, if you have configuration problems with a TollFreeNumbers.com number and if you are dyslexic, as I am, have someone else in your office dial your new number. :-)

My thanks to Rita and Bill for their patience with me.

            Thanks again,
Steve Campbell, an embarrassed but satisfied customer
